Just 4 Kids Motortrail "BEACH TO BAY" 2011

Join the 2011 Just4Kids Motor Trail and have a whale of a time. Our latest adventure takes us into some of the country’s best coastal and forest areas, including Fraser Island, the Fraser Coast, the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast Hinterlands and national parks, following the Stanthorpe wine trail into NSW and concluding at magnificent Byron Bay.

Rainbow Beach and The Fraser Coast region are a rare destination, filled with natural wonders and some of the world's most unique attractions. It boasts World Heritage listed Fraser Island, the largest sand island in the world, with spectacular coloured sands, freshwater lakes and towering rainforests. And then there's Hervey Bay, the whale watching capital of Australia. Drive along the highway of sand on the ocean beaches or explore the sandy tracks that lead through thick forest to secret lakes, hidden in subtropical rainforest, their glassy surfaces reflecting the vegetation and deep blue sky. Under the shade of majestic satinay and brushbox trees, crystal clear freshwater flows silently over sandy creek beds.

Driving through the wonders of the Hinterlands, national parks and forest we come to Stanthorpe Nestled in the heart of the Granite Belt, Stanthorpe is known as Queensland's premier wine region, it boasts more than 45 wineries, vineyards and cellar doors and we will be sampling some of their wares. Stanthorpe is surrounded by unspoilt National Parks such as Girraween National Park. With its spectacular granite rock formations, and wildflower displays during Spring, it is a favourite park for bushwalkers. Adjacent to Girraween, is Bald Rock, Sundown and Boonoo Boonoo National Parks. Bald Rock National Park has the largest granite rock formation in the southern hemisphere, providing excellent views over the surrounding terrain and we will be taking you there to see for yourselves.

We finish our adventure in Byron Bay which is the eastern most point of Australia 's mainland on the New South Wales ' north coast. It is famous for its alternative lifestyles and attracts people from all walks of life. Byron Bay was once a whaling station and is still a popular stop for tourists to go whale watching and experience some of the world's best eco tourism. Byron’s hospitality is world famous and we will be concluding our Bay to Bay event with a gala dinner and presentation night, watching the waves roll in on as the sun sets on golden sands.
